I’m Minh-Hoang (Harvey) Bui, a Machine Learning and Software Engineer currently at Axon in Toronto, where I work on platform engineering and ML inference reliability.
I studied Electronics and Computer Engineering at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, then earned a Master’s in Optimization and Statistics from UTT in France on a French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Excellence Scholarship. That mix of embedded systems, statistics, and engineering shapes how I approach ML: from the math down to the metal.
Over 7+ years across Vietnam, France, and Canada, I’ve worked on OCR systems at 70M-user scale, LLM applications, time-series inference pipelines, and Kubernetes-based ML platforms. I care most about making ML systems reliable and fast in production.
In my spare time I write about what I’m learning on this blog — mostly ML systems, infrastructure, and the occasional deep dive into a paper.
